Is artificial intelligence a science fiction or a reality?
Day after day, these rules of logic have become more complex, so much so that a computer program can have a conversation and include new vocabulary in their database and know when and how to use it. (Pilot programs such as ELIZA and Dr. Abuse).
Many people think of the future, today's robots can become more intelligent than man himself. Movies like I Robot and Artificial Intelligence, demonstrate what can be a near future when artificial intelligence continues to grow as before.

Isaac Asimov, the father of the ideas of Artificial intelligence, wrote books in decade of 50s, (a clear example :"I, Robot") where he tell us about incredibles
adventures of robots, creatures with artificial intelligence, capables of do many human tasks. He just talked about this 60 years ago, but the reality is not
far away from that science fiction histories.
Just a few knowledge is published to the world about the AI advances, but an internet search with the words "the latest in AI", it will impressed to anyone. Artificial intelligence is a very tangible reality in our time
Nowadays we are closer to shared a reality wich has an important technology influence like in another interesting movie as Bicentennial man. In that movie, people and robots interact like one and I think in a few years we could experience it.

ReplyDeleteAI is very interesting because we do not know what will happen in the future if you'll see amazing machines but as everything has its advantage and disadvantage will happen if we replaced by robots or they disclose would be worse than the world wars that have passed and if they become smarter than us as we will all end is not without risk

ReplyDeleteI guess the main topic discussed when talking about artificial intelligence is the comparison between humans and robots. Of course, robots are anything that can perform an action which was initially reserved for people. But, in our necessity for comfort, we have spent (or invested, for some) tons of resources in developing a growing and never ending wave of technology. This, aiming to copy and also to improve human capabilities. As expected, almost any machine nowadays may achieve those goals. But, for me, reasoning will always be the gap... what makes us unreachable.
